II) T1 DOWNLOAD (DL) PROCEDURE

This section describes the AdvDCSMT1DCSS (T1) DOWNLOAD Procedure.

AdvDCSMT1DCSS DOWNLOAD (DL)

AdvDCSM DCSS : T1

The DOWNLOAD of T1 is a composite Download process that consists of the DownLoad of four (4) Zip files that are located on the NSSyssoft website.

The names of these Zip files and their corresponding UnZip folders are as follows:

'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-1.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-1' folder,
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-2.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-2' folder,
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-3.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-3' folder, &
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-4.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-4' folder.

'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-1.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-1' folder,
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-2.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-2' folder,
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-3.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-3' folder, &

Note that these mappings reflect the Zip Tool Folder Naming choice and should not be changed.

Note that the Buyer (User) PC's Windows Operating System Files View option 'Hide extensions for known file types' must be disabled (Unchecked) so that T1 V1 will work correctly.

Please be advised that this procedure's instructions must be followed to install successfully the AdvDCSMT1DCSS software.

IMPORTANT NOTE: the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 1 must be used first.

INSTALLATION and Operation occurs for a User with Administrator Privileges on this PC with only ONE Administrator account.

T1 V1 is composed of UnManaged C++ code at this time. If T1 V1 was composed of UnManaged and Managed C++ code, the Microsoft .Net Framework Version 1.1 (& Service Pack 1) would be required to be resident on this PC. Thus, at this time, the Microsoft .Net Framework Version 1.1 (& Service Pack 1) is not a Requirement for the use of T1 V1.

SINGLE USER-SINGLE COMPUTER LICENSE is required for use of AdvDCSMT1DCSS on this PC.

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE USER READ THE NOLTA SIMULATED SYSTEMS SOFTWARE(NSSyssoft) LICENSE AGREEMENT AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THE LICENSE IF THE USER WANTS TO USE T1 LEGALLY AND CORRECTLY:

WARNING: AdvDCSMT1DCSS will not work properly on this PC if it is not licensed for this PC System!!!!!

NOTE: T1 is a Digital Communication SYSTEM SIMULATOR whose implementation is at the level of a PRODUCT PROTOTYPE. Its intended goal/ purpose/design is to simulate reliably a variety of Digital Communication systems of varying complexity as described in the README T1 Use text file. Its Capability (Operational Performance) is dependent on many complex interacting factors that involve the User's PC/Computer System components itself. The User must be cognizant of the limits of the User's PC Computer System.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Verify that the four AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer Zip files have been downloaded successfully and have been unzipped using a password into four AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer folders on the User's PC storage disk. This password has been obtained from the Download Serial Number (DL SN) and Password (PW) User's received e-mail.

2) Verify again that this PC satisfies all of the Computer System Requirements for successfully using T1 on this PC.

3) Confirm or Setup this Windows PC to operate for a User with Administrator Privileges.

4) Obtain the T1 Download Serial Number (SN) from the received DL SN & PW e-mail. You should have first received an Order Confirmation e-mail after your Order/Purchase has been approved from the NSSyssoft website.

5) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer' folder found in the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-1' folder.

6) Initiate the Installation by Selecting the Setup.exe Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start Setup.exe.

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

7) Observe the appearance of the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Setup Wizard, Welcome.

8) Read each Installation User Interface Dialog Box's Text and follows its Directions:

i) Note that the T1 'License Agreement' is the same one that you accepted on the NSSyssoft website prior to Purchase and Download and

ii) Focus on the 'Read Me' Information and Comply with the 'Read Me' Instructions to eliminate a possible subsequent User Validation/Licensing problem.

9) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-2' folder.

i) Initiate the Installation by Selecting the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 2.msi Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 2.msi and

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

ii) Repeat Steps 7 and 8 as it pertains to this step.

10) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-3' folder.

i) Initiate the Installation by Selecting the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 3.msi Icon via the Mouseand double clicking it to Start AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 3.msi and

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

ii) Repeat Steps 7 and 8 as it pertains to this step.

11) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-4' folder.

i) Initiate the Installation by Selecting the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 4.msi Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 4.msi and

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

ii) Repeat Steps 7 and 8 as it pertains to this step.

12) Upon successful T1 installation, restart the PC.

13) Observe the 'Shortcut to AdvDCSMT1DCSS" icon on the Desktop and AdvDCSMT1DCSS icon in the 'Start Menu'.

14) Start AdvDCSMT1DCSS and Observe that the 'User Installation Information' Dialog box appears.

15) Respond to this dialog box's Queries and follow its directions:

i) Select the Windows XP OS choice as the Windows Operating System (OS) Version that is running on the User's Windows XP PC;

ii) Select First, Update, or Non-Update choice as the T1 Version 1 Installation Type.

16) Upon accepting the User Installation Information, Observe that the 'User Validation 1' Dialog box appears.

17) Respond to this dialog box's Queries and follow its directions:

i) Enter T1 DL SN and

ii) Observe and Record the T1-PC System Identifier (ID) from the dialog box's output.

18) Contact NSSyssoft by e-mail with the appropriate Licensing Protocol Information: the T1 DL SN, the T1-PC System Identifier (ID), name, organization, and address of purchaser.

You will receive a Valid Single User-Single Computer T1-PC LICENSE ID if you purchased a legal T1 DownLoad from NSSyssoft within 24 hours upon NSSyssoft's receipt of your e-mail with the required information. Please keep this ID in your records for reference for any possible future relicensing.

19) Initiate action to obtain 'User Validation 2' Dialog box via 'User Validation 1' Dialog Box:

Enter T1-PC LICENSE ID, Licensee Name, and Organization. Engage (Click on) the 'OK' button.

20) Observe that the 'AdvDCSM: DCSS Help: Key Capabilities and Features Guide' is presented to you in the foreground and the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Graphic User Interface (GUI) frame menu will appear in the background.

Upon clicking on the 'OK' or 'Cancel' button of this Guide, Observe that the AdvDCSMT1DCSS GUI frame menu will appear ready for FIRST USE.

This T1 GUI frame menu contains 'Help' Menu items (choices) that will provide access to information about T1 and instructions on how to use T1 if needed. These 'Help' choices are as follows:

i) 'Help: Key Capabilities and Features Guide';

ii) 'Help: Menu Use Guide';

iii) 'Help: Input Interface Use Guide'; and

iv) 'Help: Results File Print Guide.'

21) Observe that when AdvDCSMT1DCSS is used after the FIRST USE, an 'Announcement' Dialog will appear first and then T1's GUI with or without the above described first Help Guide (User-dependent) will appear for Use.

Note that the User can turn off or turn on the display of the 'Help: Key Capabilities and Features Guide' at Startup.

22) For the successful display of a .txt file via File operation 'Print Preview' after using 'Open' or 'Recent File' operation, the 'Hide extensions for known file types' feature of the Windows OS must be turned off. This Windows feature is accessible via 'Start' Menu, 'Control Panel', 'Folder Options', 'View', 'Advanced Settings', 'Files and Folders' option path.

23) For successful 'Print' or 'Print Preview' of a Results File (.txt file), the Windows Operating System must be declared to T1. This declaration would have been made in step 15 (via the 'User Installation Information' Dialog box). Confirmation of this choice is shown via the 'Help: Results File Print Guide' dialog query. This dialog query will be presented to the User at the time of First Use of T1. The Windows XP OS choice should be shown to be selected.

IV) T1 UNINSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR DOWNLOAD (DL) DISTRIBUTION

This section describes the AdvDCSMT1DCSS (T1) DownLoad-Based UnInstallation Procedure. This procedure can be found in a README file located in the first T1 Installer UnZip folder.

AdvDCSMT1DCSS DOWNLOAD-BASED UNINSTALLATION

AdvDCSM DCSS : T1

Please be advised that this procedure's instructions must be followed to successfully uninstall AdvDCSMT1DCSS software. Note that the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 1 must be used first.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer' folder found in the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-1' folder.

2) Initiate the UnInstallation by Selecting the Setup.exe Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start Setup.exe.

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

3) Observe the appearance of the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Setup Wizard, Welcome.

4) Select the 'Remove AdvDCSMT1DCSS' option and Initiate this process.

5) Observe the message 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS has been successfully removed' in the Installation Complete Dialog.

6) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-2' folder.

i) Initiate the UnInstallation by Selecting the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 2.msi Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 2.msi and

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

ii) Repeat Steps 3, 4, and 5 as it pertains to this step.

7) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-3' folder.

i) Initiate the UnInstallation by Selecting the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 3.msi Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 3.msi and

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

ii) Repeat Steps 3, 4, and 5 as it pertains to this step.

8) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer-4' folder.

i) Initiate the UnInstallation by Selecting the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 4.msi Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer 4.msi and

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

V) T1 TRIAL VERSION DOWNLOAD (DL) PROCEDURE

This section describes the AdvDCSMT1DCSS (T1) Trial Version (TV) DOWNLOAD Procedure.

AdvDCSMT1DCSS TRIAL VERSION DOWNLOAD (DL)

AdvDCSM DCSS : T1 V1 (Version 1) TV

The DOWNLOAD of the Trial Version of T1 is a Download process that consists of the DownLoad of one (1) Zip file that is located on the NSSyssoft website.

The name of this Zip file and its corresponding UnZip (Extracted) folder are as follows:

'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV' folder.

Note that this mapping reflects the Zip Tool Folder Naming choice and should not be changed.

Note that the Buyer (User) PC's Windows Operating System Files View option 'Hide extensions for known file types' must be disabled (Unchecked) so that T1 V1 will work correctly.

Note that a successful File DownLoad via the Internet or e-mail requires that you verify that the entire file has been transferred to your PC storage disk (i.e., No File Size discrepancy). If a File Size discrepancy occurs, repeat the File Download.

Note that this Zip file is not Password protected.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) You, the Trial Version (TV) User, have read and agree to be bound by the Terms of the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Trial Version End-User License Agreement (EULA) for DownLoad Distribution.

2) Go to the "OBTAIN FREE TRIAL USE of AdvDCSMT1DCSS (DOWNLOAD)" webpage via the corresponding titled Leftmost Upper (2nd from the Top) Vertical Navigation Button (Tab), the NSSyssoft 'Home' webpage, or other NSSyssoft webpage. Locate the appropriate DownLoad Link that is found on this "OBTAIN FREE TRIAL USE ..." webpage.

Click on this Link to initiate the download of the Zip file ('AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV.zip') to the TV User's PC storage disk.

Alternatively, a DownLoad Link may be provided through a TV User's received e-mail, if NSSyssoft has received a request from a potential TV User via e-mail for such a link and NSSyssoft has elected to provide this Link (e.g., via e-mail) to this User (a discretionary decision by NSSyssoft).

3) Initiate the UnZipping of the TV Zip file ('AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV.zip') by Selecting and Right Clicking the Mouse on its Icon.

4) Select the Extract All Option from the Pop-Up Menu.

5) Observe the appearance of the Extraction Wizard, Welcome and proceed through the Extraction Dialog.

i) Do not change the specified Destination Selection.

ii) Observe that the Extraction has been completed.

6) Observe the contents of the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV' folder: 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer' folder, 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS README and LICENSE FILES TV DL' folder, and the READMET1TVDL file.

7) Follow the AdvDCSMT1DCSS TV DOWNLOAD-BASED INSTALLATION procedure for the successful installation of the Trial Version T1 on your PC Storage disk.

VI) T1 TRIAL VERSION INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR DOWNLOAD (DL) DISTRIBUTION

This section describes the AdvDCSMT1DCSS (T1) Trial Version (TV) DownLoad-Based Installation Procedure.

AdvDCSMT1DCSS TRIAL VERSION DOWNLOAD-BASED INSTALLATION

AdvDCSM DCSS : T1 V1 (Version 1) TV

The INSTALLATION of T1 is an Installation process that requires the use of one (1) Installer. This Installer is found in one folder that is created from the one Downloaded Zip file. The DownLoad Instructions can be found on the NSSyssoft website for obtaining this Zip file.

The UnZipping processing of this file using the standard Zip Tool Procedure should produce

'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV' folder.

Note that this mapping reflects the Zip Tool Folder Naming choice and should not be changed.

Note that the Buyer (User) PC's Windows Operating System Files View option 'Hide extensions for known file types' must be disabled (Unchecked) so that T1 V1 will work correctly.

Note that a successful File DownLoad via the Internet or e-mail requires that you verify that the entire file has been transferred to your PC storage disk (i.e. No File Size discrepancy). If a File Size discrepancy occurs, repeat the File Download.

Note: Delay of the Setup Wizard, Welcome may occur.

7) Read each Installation User Interface Dialog Box's Text and follows its Directions:

i) Note that the T1 'License Agreement' is the same one that you accepted on the NSSyssoft website prior to Download and

ii) Focus on the 'Read Me' Information and Comply with the 'Read Me' Instructions to eliminate a possible subsequent User Validation/Licensing problem.

8) Upon successful T1 installation, restart the PC.

9) Observe the 'Shortcut to AdvDCSMT1DCSS" icon on the Desktop and AdvDCSMT1DCSS icon in the 'Start Menu'.

12) Observe that the 'AdvDCSM: DCSS Help: Trial Version Guide' is presented to you in the foreground and the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Graphic User Interface (GUI) frame menu will appear in the background.

Upon clicking on the 'OK' or 'Cancel' button of this Guide, the 'AdvDCSM: DCSS Help: Key Capabilities and Features Guide' will be presented to you.

Upon clicking on the 'OK' or 'Cancel' button of this Guide, Observe that the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Graphic User Interface (GUI) frame menu will appear ready for FIRST USE.

This T1 GUI frame menu contains 'Help' Menu items (choices) that will provide access to information about T1 and instructions on how to use T1 if needed. These 'Help' choices are as follows:

VII) T1 TRIAL VERSION UNINSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR DOWNLOAD (DL) DISTRIBUTION

This section describes the AdvDCSMT1DCSS (T1) TRIAL VERSION (TV) DownLoad-Based UnInstallation Procedure.

Please be advised that this procedure's instructions must be followed to successfully uninstall the Trial Version AdvDCSMT1DCSS software.

INSTRUCTIONS

1) Open the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS Installer' folder found in the 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-InstallerTV' folder.

2) Initiate the UnInstallation by Selecting the Setup.exe Icon via the Mouse and double clicking it to Start Setup.exe.

You may get an "Open File - Security Warning" Dialog box that interrupts the Installation Initiation (File Publisher verification issue). Solution: Ignore the warning and select the Run option.

3) Observe the appearance of the AdvDCSMT1DCSS Setup Wizard, Welcome.

4) Select the 'Remove AdvDCSMT1DCSS' option and Initiate this process.

5) Observe the message 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS has been successfully removed' in the Installation Complete Dialog.

This section describes the AdvDCSMT1DCSS (T1) Version 2 (V2) DOWNLOAD Procedure.

AdvDCSMT1DCSS V2 DOWNLOAD (DL)

AdvDCSM DCSS : T1 v2

The DOWNLOAD of T1 v2 is a composite Download process that consists of the DownLoad of five (5) Zip files that are located on the NSSyssoft website.

The names of these Zip files and their corresponding UnZip folders are as follows:

'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-1.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-1' folder,
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-2.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-2' folder,
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-3.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-3' folder,
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-4.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-4' folder, &
'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-5.zip' file => 'AdvDCSMT1DCSS-Installer2-5' folder.

22) Observe that when AdvDCSMT1DCSS is used after the FIRST USE, an 'Announcement' Dialog will appear first and then T1's GUI with or without the above described first Help Guide (User-dependent) will appear for Use.

Note that the User can turn off or turn on the display of the 'Help: Key Capabilities and Features Guide' at Startup.

23) For the successful display of a .txt file via File operation 'Print Preview' after using 'Open' or 'Recent File' operation, the 'Hide extensions for known file types' feature of the Windows OS must be turned off. This Windows feature is accessible via 'Start' Menu, 'Control Panel', 'Folder Options', 'View', 'Advanced Settings', 'Files and Folders' option path.

24) For successful 'Print' or 'Print Preview' of a Results File (.txt file), the Windows Operating System must be declared to T1. This declaration would have been made in step 16 (via the 'User Installation Information' Dialog box). Confirmation of this choice is shown via the 'Help: Results File Print Guide' dialog query. This dialog query will be presented to the User at the time of First Use of T1. The Windows XP OS choice should be shown to be selected.
